Reviews I received

  1. Rate this paper’s overall readabilty
    5 of 5
  2. At which point did you feel most interested by this piece? When least? Explain.
I feel like overall the entire essay was interesting, like this person brought out the points and reason. However, the summarizing was what made me less interested. It tend to show more summarizing then evidence.
  3. Could the readability, clarity, or style of this paper be improved? How?
I think this person need to change and improve on the summarization.
  4. Rate the strength of this paper’s thesis.
    3 of 5
  5. Can the conclusion of this paper be convincingly drawn from the thesis and the argument made in the body of the paper? Why or why not?
I think the conclusion can be convincing because it talks about the overall argument. However, I believe that this author should’ve talked more about the newer terms, since she only mentioned latent content once. Also this person didn’t add on to more of the dream part, that they discuss.
  6. Does each paragraph of this paper logically progress from the former ones? Why or why not?
I believe so, since it looks like each paragraph leads to the next one smoothly. Like they all connect to each other in the correct sequence.
  7. Do you feel this paper relies on evidence, or on opinion or intuition? If the latter, cite examples of where this paper relies on opinion and intuition and give suggestions as to how the writer can write more objectively.
I believe this paper relies on more of an intuition and opinion. I believe the body paragraphs are a bunch of summarization. The first paragraph has a bunch of opinion in it. The author could mention why she killed homer, like how homer liked guys as well. Or provide evidence on why the relationship didnt work out.
  8. How smoothly does this paper integrate examples into its own argument? Does it clearly illustrate connections between the evidence it cites and the ideas they support, or does it merely assume them? Explain.
I feel like its a mixture of both, some connects well, while some is merely assumed. Like the 4th paragraph is a prime example of merely assume.
  9. How effective was the writer’s use of language?
    4 of 5
  10. Scan and spot the paper for the any of the following problems: colloquialisms, informality, clichés, and wordiness. Give a few examples of these problems, if they exist.
I don’t believe i see any of these.
  11. Could the writer of this paper have omitted certain passages to make this paper more concise? If yes, which ones?
No I believe the author did well with the sources.
  12. Is the essay and Works Cited page in MLA format?
    1 of 2
  13. Is the title specific, interesting, and properly formatted?
